I am so delighted to report that NCC has agreed and Rothbury now has the first tree warden scheme in Northumberland! Congratulations to us!!
The goals of the Tree Warden Scheme
are quite simply to:
Make trees matter to everyone
Plant more trees, of the right kind, in the right places
Provide better care for all trees of all ages
Inspire effective action for trees
Tree Wardens are passionate volunteers who share these goals and work together to achieve these goals. The Tree Council supports
Networks around the UK to champion local trees and woodlands, encourage local
projects and get your local communities involved in planting, caring for and enjoying their trees and woods.
